    Description

    This great old example is a boxed wood moulding plane that has the A Howland name and logo on the toe. Auburn Prison inmates made these planes and they were sold under the Howland name from 1869 - 1874. This one is marked no 105 on the tail. The slides from the boxing are supporting a great moulding profile. The cutter is proper and still sharp and the wedge is solid and appears original. Cutter is 1/2 inch wide cut and is still sharp. Plane will only need clean. No damage I can find. Fine example.  Buyer pays $ 7.95 S&H in USA.
