vintage Stanley USA late 5 jack plane great user tool restore Chrome plated ?

Description

Up for auction is a vintage Stanley late model jack plane. It dates around the early 1960's. It has been partially cleaned. It could use some additional cleaning and the blade will need some sharpening.  The previous , or original owner had modified this plane. It has been either  chrome or nickel plated the sides and sole of this tool.   It is a Showy tool. There are no breaks or repairs. The wood handle and knob are in good solid used condition. There is some of the lacquer finish missing from the wood handles. There is some missing japanning and some of the Chrome/nickel plating missing as well.   Once cleaned and tuned up, It will be a welcome addition to the work shop.   Please see all pictures for condition.
