    Description

    Vintage number 5 Stanley plane with a smooth bottom.  Measures 13 3/8 inches long, 2 3/8 wide and 4 7/8 tall to the top of the handle.
    The blade is stamped "STANLEY PAT. AP'L 19 92" and the front is embossed with "No 5".
    Everything appears to be in good condition.  There is not much paint loss or rust on the sole.  The handles feel secure and look great, very nice color. The initials "B.C.E." are engraved on one side with small dots.
    I know there are ways to tell the specific type and date range for Stanley planes, but I don't claim to know what those are.  If there are additional pictures I can provide, please let me know.
