Vintage Sargent 424 Jointer Plane 24" Stanley No. 8 Size

This listing is for a vintage Sargent No. 424 jointer plane.  This is the equivalent size to a Stanley No. 8.  The plane was disassembled, given a light cleaning to check condition, then reassembled.
The plane appears to be in overall good condition.  The japanning is mostly intact, but there are areas where it is missing, bubbling or showing some patina/corrosion.  There is an owner's mark stamped on the right cheek and a bit of a casting flaw on the left side near the toe (it has factory grind marks over it so it isn't a repair) as shown in the pictures.  The knob and tote are both in good condition with no obvious cracks.
