Vintage Sargent 1409 Hercules Smooth Plane Size 4 Beautiful!

This listing is for a vintage Sargent 1409 Hercules smooth plane.  This plane is similar in size to a Stanley No. 4.  The plane was disassembled, given a light cleaning to check for condition, then reassembled.  Online resources place this as a type 6 plane made from 1950 - 1953.  The casting is in excellent condition with no chips, scratches or anything other than light signs of use.  The tote and knob are both solid with no obvious cracks and both tighten securely.  Overall, this is a really beautiful example that would make a great user or a nice addition to any collection.
