  • Condition: Plane is used and shows some wear. It has been restored, body repainted with 3 coats of black machine enamel. Rear tote has a new horn. Blade is a Stanley. No cracks in body. Lever cap has a nick in it (see photo) still works. Lever cap screw shows wear.

    Description

    OHIO No. 5C, a rare early plane. Plane is used and has had restoration. Body repainted with 3 coats of black machine enamel. Rear tote horn fixed (see photo). Body is solid, no cracks. Blade is an old Stanley. Lever cap has a nick in it (see photo) still works. Lever cap screw shows wear and should be replaced. I strongly believe that besides the blade the plane is all original. Bottom of the plane shows some usual wear with some scratches and marks. Made between 1905 and 1912 according to a Ohio Tool expert.
