Description
Offered is a very nice looking No. 035 Smoothing Plane from an estateThe plane was made by the Ohio Tool Co. in Auburn NY
I think it was made in the late 1800s to early 1900s era
I read online that many of the planes made by this company
were made with forced prison labor, very interesting history!
The plane has original (maroon) “red japanning” of blade holder and some other parts
the finish on the wood looks original. The handle's top tip has a chip as shown
and there is a small chip on the sole. Overall it is approx. 8 5/8" long by 2 3/4" wide
It is a very attractive old plane and I think it can also still be used again in your wood shop
hopefully someone can put it to good use!..................................... Thanks for looking! ....
