Vintage Lakeside By Stanley No 4-1/2. Wide Heavy Fine Plus Condition Shop Ready

A early and beautiful, Vintage Lakeside No 4-1/2 smoothing plane, made by Stanley for Ward’s stores. It is approx 10 inches long with a blade width of 2-3/8 inches.
It is similar to a Stanley type 7 or 8 so manufactured around 1900 so it's approx 122 years old.
Metal bed and all other metal parts are fine, no cracks breaks, or pitting.  This plane is in complete and exceptional condition and will made a fine user or collectible. the original black jappaning finish is great, almost 95 percent.
The handles are beautiful and appear to be a tropical hardwood , front knob is the proper low profile type, the rear tote is the original style for this plane type, both are beautiful and no cracks, splits, breaks or repairs.
The blade is the original and correct one for this plane it has the Lakeside logo, is nearly full length and has been freshly sharpened with a proper 25 degree bevel.
All adjustments move and work smoothly.
