vintage Fulton Knuckle Joint / lever cap Block Plane NO. 18

Description

Offered is a vintage Fulton Knuckle Joint / lever cap Block Plane from an estate
The plane is approx. 2" wide by 6 1/2" long, I think this may be a # 18
The Japan black paint looks very good, I would say it is about 90% intact or better
The plane has an adjustable throat with an adjustment lever under the front knob
The blade looks very good, it has an unusual lateral adjuster and it feels quite sharp
The lever cap works nice, I like this design because it is quick to make blade adjustments
It is a rather scarce plane with good patina and nice Japaning, it would also be a great plane to use
