The unusual aspect of this plane is a dovetailed section in the base of the plane - it definitely brings to mind the insets in some wooden planes which can be replaced to close the mouth when excessive wear has taken place. There are no marks anywhere on the plane body, BUT the blade and chip breaker are clearly marked "Stanley". The body is in very good condition - missing the front knob. The handle, which appears to be originally a number of parts glued together also has a crack which has been repaired. HELP with identification would be greatly appreciated - it really bugs me to have an unknown piece. Please note that I will adjust the price when I find out exactly what the plane is. Thanks for looking - if you have a few minutes, I have many antique tools listed in my Ebay store, both user and collector quality. (G146 - 9/21)
