This well made and exceptionally clean plane is in unused condition and could be put directly to work. The top of the plane is imprinted with the trademark image of the Tell Chapel on Lake Lucerne, Switzerland. This well made and exceptionally clean plane is in unused condition and could be put directly to work. Firma LaChappelle was a subsidiary of Lachappelle Fils, of Strasbourg, France who were established in 1840 and produced woodworking tools and work benches. above the two arched windows in the logo are the letters FXL for Franz Xaver LaChappelle, the founder of Lachappelle Fils in Strasbourg, Alsace, France.
