    Description

    TYPE 5 STANLEY No.18 BLOCK PLANE - B CASTING MARKS c.1899-1900 ONLY
    Early Stanley No.18 block plane is
    6 inches long with decent Japanning; most missing in front. Has missing Nickel plating on the lever cap. It has B factory casting marks on the sliding piece, lever cap and shoe in front of frog. It has PAT.FEB.20.94. stamped on the eccentric lever, PAT.8.3.97 cast behind the frog (See Pic #11), and three patent dates stamped on the lateral lever. Bottom and sides have minor stain, but are smooth and free of rust or pitting. Will make a nice addition to your block plane collection. Thanks for looking...
