    Description

Stanley SW No 3C Type 13 Smooth Or Smoothing Plane. This weighs 2 lbs 15 3/4 oz unboxed. This is a Type 13 and was made by Stanley between 1925 and 1928. This is in decent condition and was cleaned. The sides have some frosting and light pitting. The sole also has some light pitting, scratches, and there are some dings around and on the front of the mouth. The japanning is original and about 80%. The lever cap has some dings and light pitting. The chipbreaker also has some patina. The blade has some pitting on the exposed areas and the back. The cutting face has a patch of light pitting, but after that it's fairly clean and there is lots to work with. The blade will need a sharpening. The tote and knob have some dings, but are solid. All the screws work and were oiled. This guy is sure showing it's 95 plus years of age, but it will get the job done. A working old Stanley plane for sure!
All items for sale unless otherwise noted are purchased and in most cases professionally restored by me. I take pride in offering quality items. Not everything is perfect, but it is as I say it is. Also, I smoke a pipe, drink whiskey, both cheap and good, and cuss more in a hour than most folks do in a month. If any or all of the above bother's ya, well then we ain't got no reason to be doing business.
RULES OF THE GAME - READ ME!
I do my best to ship items as cheap as possible. The shipping method is determined by weight and in some cases, the overall size of the item. Both Ebay and PayPal charge sellers a fee on what they charge for shipping. That is 12% for domestic and 13% for international. Those fees along with the cost of the packing materials is factored into the shipping charge. It costs me more in fees to send a 2 lb package to California than it does to Ohio and a whole lot more to send the same package overseas and I cannot afford to pay those costs. This is a full time business for me and not something I do in my spare time. I do not ship via UPS or Fedex (and they sure ain't any cheaper). I am always happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases. Just add the items to your shopping cart and request that I send an invoice, which I will do as soon as possible. Ebay does not refund the fees on shipping even if I do a partial refund and I would much rather have that money to buy more items to sell.
I only reciprocate Feedback received unless you are a very regular customer. I leave feedback about once a week or so. Don't get excited if I don't leave you feedback right away. Just easier to sit down and do a bunch at a time for me.
