Stanley plane #8 type 5, 1st lateral, collectible-user

Stanley jointer plane #8. If I'm correct this is a type 5 dating 1885-88. This is a 1st lateral. Plane has some issues to tell you about. The left cheek has been sanded down a bit. I'm guessing it had some chips. The cutter is short. The lateral lever does not engage in the blade slot. Needs a cutter. Plane has rust staining but not what I would call pitting. Tote and knob not cracked. Japanning I'll guess at 50%. Has smooth sole. Mouth not chipped or filed.  I will combine shipping.
