Not to be confused with the ubiquitous 118, this is the S18 plane made by Stanley from around 1925-1942. 17 years in production as opposed to about 50 years for the 118. It has the vertical post adjuster and knuckle cap like the No. 18 plane. Sweetheart era tool in less-than-collectible shape; scratches, chipped throat, worn finishes and missing the adjustable throat assembly.
