    Description

Stanley No. 8 Jointer Smooth  Bottom Plane. Rosewood knob and Handle in good condition. The
handle has a beautiful feel to it. Overall the plane is in great user shape considering it is about 120
years old. The lateral adjustment lever has a 1876 patent date and the plane iron has a 1902 date
The lever and the brass plane iron adjustment
knob move freely. There is many years of use
left on the plane iron. I have sharpened the iron (25 degrees bevel) on my DMT fine diamond stone and it
is perfectly square. The plane has been fine tuned and is ready to go make the shavings in the picture.
I have used it for over 45 years teaching woodworking and making custom furniture. Now it's time to
find it a good user home.
    Thanks for looking

Attention:  The second picture of a close up of a knob with a crack is
    inaccurate
    - from a previous Bedrock plane that was sold.  I am not able to edit the pictures at this time.
The knob on the No. 8 for sale is NOT cracked.
    Thank you!
