Up for auction is a Stanley No.10 1/2 Type 1 Carriage Makers Rabbet Plane . Marked with L. Baileys Patent on brass adjuster and chipbreaker . Bluing still present on back of the chipbreaker . Original japanning is around 95 % . Tote and knob are beautiful with no chips cracks or repairs . No rust or pitting just a nice patina from age . No chips cracks or repairs to the cast iron . Blade is marked with Stanley patent Appd. Logo . The lateral lever has 3 patent dates . Adjustable mouth works smoothly . Bed is marked 10 1/2 in front of the tote . All correct for a type 1 10 1/2 Rabbet plane . Condition is FINE. Would go great in any collection .

I added more photos of the plane taken apart . Also in the sun with the mouth opened up . You can see how nice the patina is in the sunlight . This is a great plane . I didn’t polish up the brass or shine it up like some sellers . Better than the last 2 that have sold on completed items by far .
