    Description

    Vintage Stanley Bedrock Sweetheart No. 603 Type 9 Smooth Bottom Plane. Has roughly 90+% of the original Japanning and the original tote decal!! Rear handle has been repaired but is solid. This is truly a rarity in this condition and great for collectors. Super Sharp and tuned and ready for use. Honed to 3000 grit and cuts super smooth and thin. This one is a thing of beauty!     This has been restored. My restoration process starts with electrolysis ( when needed) to remove any and all rust without using any harsh chemicals. Sole and frog are then lapped (flat surfaces sanded with sand paper on 3/8 glass to insure straight and even) to 1000 grit. The totes are cleaned up and sanded to 400 grit and 4 coats of shellac knocking it down smooth between coats. All parts are then oiled and coated with Renaissance wax. I’ve been a carpenter for 20 years and bringing these back to life is my passion!
    Shipping is priority mail but may have to wait until the weekend as my work hours don’t really work with the post office. Larger planes may be taken apart and each piece individually wrapped so nothing gets broken.
