    For sale here is a massive 100-year-old Bedrock in excellent condition but with a cosmetic blemish. 2 patent dates are Apr 2, 95 and Apr 19, 10. Original japanning looks to be about 90%. The tall knob has minor chipping but is otherwise solid, with no cracks. The tote shows minor wear, but no cracks. The lever cap, chip breaker and cutting iron are all in excellent condition, and the assembly snaps shut on a milled-flat adjustable frog. The cutting iron measures 7 1/4 inches and is sharp, with plenty of life left. The small diameter depth adjustment knob turns freely. The lateral adjustment lever has a tight movement. The corrugated sole shows some wear and pitting but is flat and travels smoothly. The top right-frontside of the plane’s body has chipped off, say about 1.5 inches. The blemish does not compromise performance. This plane needs a spot for a veteran woodworker and serious collector of the finest USA-made Stanley woodworking products.
