Stanley Bailey No 5 Smooth Bottom Jack Plane - SHAVES GREAT - LQQK !!

Let me first state, I’m not real knowledgeable on planes, so please ask any questions you might have. This is a No 5 smooth bottom jack plane that measures 14 inches long and is about 2 ½ inches wide. It is stamped Bailey and Made in U.S.A. on the front by the knob. It is stamped No 5 behind the handle. The handle is in solid shape with normal wear. The high knob is also in solid shape with some wear as well. The steel body is solid with some scratches and normal wear. The body seems to have a most of the original black finish. The Stanley stamped lever cap has normal wear. The blade is stamped Stanley Made in U.S.A. The blade adjustment lever is stamped Stanley as well. This plane shaves very well, because I did test it out on a piece of wood. I did wipe it down with a little WD-40 and linseed oil. This Stanley plane would make a great user plane, so don’t miss out on this one!
