    Description

    This is a Stanley no. 3 smoothing plane, type 16. It should make a good user.
    The body is solid with no cracks or major chips. Approximately 80% of the japanning is intact. There is some minor chipping where the frog seats on the body (see photo) but the frog seats and moves properly. The handle has had a repair that's noticeable, but solid. The iron is in good shape. I've sharpened and it takes good shavings.
