    Description

    Stanley Bailey No. 27-1/2 transitional plane.
    This would make a good jack or scrub plane if you camber the iron or you could use it for parts. It doesnt cut accurately enough for smoothing.
    frog and other cast iron components were stripped and recoated with three coats of baked on Japan finish.
    blade and chip breaker were treated with naval jelly to remove rust
    original wood finish was sanded off and replaced with amber shellac. The rear handle has been repaired.
