Stanley Bailey no 1 plane.
This little no. 1 Stanley Bailey will sell to the highest bidder with no reserve.
This example of a No. 1 is mostly in “As Found” condition. The original rosewood tote and knob, were both sent out for restoration work. The knob had minor splitting around the base, and restoration work is practically unnoticeable. What was salvageable off the original tote, received major grafting from donor rosewood, to create the replacement tote.
The body casting does have a hang hole drilled cleanly through the sole, to the right of the tote. All of the hardware is original. The lever cap does have some chipping. The iron is a type correct “Stanley Pat”
