    PLEASE CHECK THE PHOTOS CAREFULLY
    This is a Sargent 507 rabbet block plane, for parts or restoration. The body of the plane is solid, with only very small chips at the toe and just behind the mouth. I think neither will affect function. A majority of the japanning is present on the back half of the body, but most is missing at the toe. The knob is absent. I see no signs of cracking on the arched sides of the plane.
    The iron is in very good shape. I did a quick sharpening and honing and it makes shavings. I'll leave it to the buyer to sharpen to their specifications.
    The plated cap has some small rust spots, but works fine.
    The blade adjuster moves fine, but the 'button' that slides into the groves on the iron has broken off (see photo). The iron does not move as you turn the adjuster.
    This would be a great plane for parts or to complete with parts you might have.
