    Description

    An original LATER STYLE FRONT KNOB for a Stanley No. 4 or No. 604 smoothing plane or their corrugated sole equivalents. The later knobs, introduced in the 1920's were approximately one-half inch taller than the early, low front knob. This Brazilian Rosewood example, which came from a "Type 13" version of the No. 4, is in excellent condition and includes the original fixing screw and threaded rod. Length = 2.50 Inches (Ref.
