I WAS THE FIRST ONE TO OPEN THIS TOOL
BRIDGE CITY TOOL SPECIAL EDITION DUAL ANGLE CT-17 COPPER
    BLOCK
    PLANE
THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST  RARE OF ALL BRIDGE CITY TOOLS
    NUMBERED # 36 OUT OF 50
    THIS PLANE IS
    EXTREMELY
RARE WITH ONLY 52 MADE AND WENT TO THE FOUNDERS CIRCLE MEMBERS ONLY
    FROM BRIDGE CITY TOOL
We only made 52 of these planes, so this is quite rare.
The CT-17 is the block plane that rocked the woodworking community when it was introduced.
The radical design allows for a dual grind iron which makes the CT-17 both a regular and low angle block plane.
    The sole
    is milled
from a solid billet of stainless steel, the sides 360 brass and the locking mechanism is lacquered copper.
This plane fits the hand like no other.
This radical departure from European influenced designs is incredibly hand friendly and requires no tools to adjust the mouth or removal of parts to remove the iron.
This is a limited edition plane, we only made them once and we only made 52. Numbers 1-50 and two showroom models.
The CT-17 original plane is prominently featured in"Quality is Contagious"
Bridge City Tool Works, the ultimate woodworking tools. You're reading this because you only buy the best.
A bit of history about this tool:
Our dear friend loved woodworking and collected Bridge City Tools, 99% of which he never used. He was an early member of the Founder's Circle, and as John Economaki described this elite group, "a kindred fraternity" . Our friend enjoyed BCTW's unsurpassed
quality and knowing the tools belonged to him. Now, it's time for another BCTW collector to treasure this tool and bring this brilliant, work of art tool into the next generation of woodworkers.
