MILLERS FALLS No.14  SMOOTH BOTTOM PLANE
14" long , 2-7/16" wide , 2" wide cutter
restoration work done
Most of the finish on the body and frog is intact so they were cleaned very well then waxed.
All the hardware was cleaned then treated with rust
inhibitor
and oiled.
Tote and knob have been cleaned then sanded smooth and refinished. Finally a coat of lacquer was applied to both then they were waxed several times to get them extremely smooth
The Cheeks were hand lapped.
The sole was hand lapped flat then the edges were relieved
Frogs seat & face were lapped to insure proper fit.
Cap iron was cleaned and lapped at contact point.
Cutter was cleaned and lapped then Sharpened.30° edge. its
extremely
sharp and cuts superb shavings
The Lever cap was cleaned and polished then lapped at contact point.
