Mathieson 4 1/2 casting & frog - project plane

Description

This is casting and frog for Mathieson number 4 1/2 heavy smoother.  I bought it as a project but have since found a complete model.  The hole for the knob on the front will need to drilled and tapped as the stud is broken off in the hole.  There are two holes in the back that appear to be for future plans to attach the tote.  I believe the green paint is not original.  I do not see any other issues other than plenty of missing parts.  A Stanley iron, chipbreaker and lever cap worked when I tested them so it maybe a case of adding handles and you're on your way.
This is definitely an uncommon plane.  I collect 4 1/2s and the complete one I have and this one for sale are the only two I've seen.  Gotta get 'em when ya see 'em!!!
