    Original French One Panel Poster (47x63), linen-backed, for the Richard Thorpe romantic musical, JAILHOUSE ROCK (1957) starring Elvis Presley and Judy Tyler. Art by Roger Soubie. Elvis made over thirty movies, and most of them are not memorable. But JAILHOUSE ROCK is one of his best performances. The part of the film where Elvis performs the title song is a milestone in rock music history. Indeed, the title song sold 2 million records within the first two weeks of its release and served to promote the film, which grossed several millions. This original French poster is in near mint condition. Currently we have two examples of this poster. This one is linen-backed and presents quite nicely. We have graded the poster as very fine.
