FIESTAWARE * SANTA CLAUS * Ornament HANDMADE IN USA W/ SAUCERS & Millefiori

Handmade by me in the USA.  PERFECT FOR ANY FIESTAWARE COLLECTOR OR LOVER.
This is one of my favorite ornaments I make. I use Italian Millefiori for accents on the Santa's hat. The shards of Fiestaware used for this ornament are from newer production saucers, all fiesta ware. Santa's eyes are flat backed glass marbles. I use a wooden shape as the base .This Santa measures just shy 5 inches high and 4 inches at its widest point. The depth is 1/4 of an inch. Santa's nose and mustache are 3D-ish.The piece weighs 5.7ounces. The hanger I used can be detached from screw eye if there is another type of hanger you prefer to use. I did not make the hanger. I used medium gray grout and paint on the sides and back of this piece, plus silver glitter glue/paint on the back to add lots of sparkle. Start to finish particular piece took me approx. 5.5 hours, not including drying time.
PLEASE HANDLE WITH CARE. I use broken pottery and since the plates are curved , the surface is not completely flat. I do use a grinder to smooth sharp edges, however what doesn't feel sharp to me, may feel sharp to you. Please be very cautious if you feel the need to run your fingers across the front surface, do it slowly and gently if you must.
