FIESTAWARE * Alligator * Christmas Ornament Handmade USA Vintage Medium Green

Handmade by me in the USA.  PERFECT FOR ANY FIESTAWARE COLLECTOR OR LOVER.
The  Fiestaware used for this Alligator is from a vintage saucer in Medium Green as well as Italian millefiori. The Alligator measures 6 1/2  inches in long and 2 inches high not including hanger.The depth is 1/4 of an inch. The piece weighs 2.3  ounces. I use a wooden shape as the base that I purchased from a woodworker from Pennsylvania. The hanger I used can be detached from screw eye if there is another type of hanger you prefer to use. I did not make the hanger. I used medium  gray grout paint on the sides and back of this piece, plus subtle glitter glue/paint on the back to add some sparkle.  Start to finish particular piece took me approx 3.5 hours, not including drying time.
PLEASE HANDLE WITH CARE. I use broken pottery and since the plates are curved , the surface is NOT completely flat or smooth. I do use a grinder to smooth sharp edges, however what doesn't feel sharp to me, may feel sharp to you. Please be very cautious if you feel the need to run your fingers across the front surface, do it slowly and gently if you must. This is not a toy.
