    Description

British Agency in Jacmel, Haiti barred oval cancel #C59 used on a 5 Shilling Queen Victoria, Haiti Scott# A31.
Prior to Haiti joining the UPU British mail was handled by the Great Britain post offices or agencies in Jacmel and Port au Prince.
This is a Great Britain Scott # 57, plate 1, used by the Jacmel agency.  Thus, it is listed in the catalog under Haiti and as a use in Haiti.
This stamp comes with a William T. Crowe certificate.  The certificate states there are 2 small tears at right center.
Even with minor faults, these are very difficult to find.
