    Description

    For sale is this antique Stanley smooth bottom plane, measuring 2-1/16" wide and 9-1/8" long overall, with tote extension. Signed "Bailey", No.3" and "Pat'd Mar-25-02  Aug-19-02  Apr-19-10", the body is dirty, with rust, and missing much of its original Japanning. Signed "Stanley SW Made In  U.S.A.", the 1-3/4" X 7" blade iron is good, and will respond well to honing and sharpening by a experienced hand.  The knob and tote handles are sound and solid, in need of refinishing, and with a incorrect, but functional steel screw holding down the knob handle. Any cleaning, oiling, and detailing is left up to you. Antique plane worth your time and expertise to restore, or fix as a everyday user.
