    Description

    Antique RARE John Bell Wooden Wedge Sash/Moulding Plane.
    This is a Rare piece of woodworking history, left as it was found, but still a beautiful functioning wooden wedge plane. This pre-owned piece is from the 1820-1850 era when John Bell was tool maker of fine wooden wedge planes. There is a John Bell Philad stamp and on the other end writing “Bole?…..” not sure of complete word.
    See pics for further detail description of this 9 1/2” wooden wedge plane. The body has functioning screws and the base can be widened approximately 3/4”- 1” in width. The wedges are worn from work, and there are the two cutting blades intact. One blade appears to be an Ogee design, and the other is a straight/flat cut.
