    I have seen many thumb planes before but not one with such as a large thump holder with a convex bottom and desiged for only edge work. Thus, I decided to do some research
    If you google search for "miliner's plane" and then images, it will take you to one that Jim Bode Tools sold for 5 in 2017 (item number 76452U). One can also go directly to Jimbodetools.com and search for miliner's plane
    Another article  on google called them "antique hatter/hat makers thumb plane - used for shaping and refinishing the edges of brims. See page 11 of "Iron Talk" issued no. 12"
