Here we have anAntique E. PRESTON & SONS, Birmingham, England, No. 360 Fenced Stop Chamfer Plane.
The Edward Preston Co. was established in 1825 in Birmingham, England and was one of the leading tool manufacturers of their day.
They eventually sold out to Rabone and Sons in 1932. The toe of the plane is marked: E. PRESTON & SONSTRADEMARK, with their EP logo.

This RARE plane has an excellent polished beech body that is only 5"L x 2-5/8" wide, not counting the moving bottom fence/stop. The moving bottom stop fence operates smoothly and has a double set of holes to allow for more range in movement.
The body has a nice thick brass nose bar.
The body, fence and wedge are in Excellent condition.
The original full length cutting iron is1-1/8" wide and is marked: PRESTON TRADMARK and has the EP logo. Blade is sharp but should be checked before use. No cracks, breaks or repairs. This plane would make an excellent addition to your collection, or put it to use.
