  • Condition: The back handle has some movement from wood shrinkage, no cracks. Lots of the original japanning. Solid antique plane. See pictures for details.

    ANTIQUE DEFIANCE STANLEY NO. 2 3 4 SMOOTH BOTTOM WOOD PLANE!
    Good used condition with normal usage, wear and age.  Small amount of discoloring on the body/metal.  Front knob is solid with no cracks, rear tote has a slight wiggle from wood shrinking on the bottom. Threaded rod may need shortened to fix wiggle. This one was never marked Stanley Defiance.  It is a Stanley plane, just one of the ones that was unmarked. Most likely from the 30's.  I may be wrong about the age so please check the pictures. Will be shipped bubble wrapped in a medium priority box.
    DEFIANCE BY STANLEY, BLADE IS A NO.2 SIZE AND SOLE IS NO.3-4 SIZE. SMOOTH SOLE BOTTOM CAST IRON CONSTRUCTION. SOLE MEASURES - 9 3/16" LONG END TO END, 2 1/8" WIDE. BLADE IS 1 5/8" WIDE. MADE IN USA
