Antique Chaplin Improved Corrugated Plane Model #1207

Description

Fresh from an estate sale is an Antique Chaplin Improved Corrugated Plane Model #1207. I am selling it as I found it. All I have done is clean certain areas enough to reveal the makers marks. I believe everything is original. The tote is hard rubber with a pattern on the sides. I believe the knob is wood. The frog is original. The base is marked CHAPLAIN’S IMPROVED at the base of the knob, NO. 1207 behind the tote, and CHAPLAIN’S IMPROVED PATENTED APL. 17th, 1883. FEB 19th, 1899. OCT 30th 1900. And one more date ending in 2, although it is hard to make it out. The letter E Is under the tote, on the lever cap, and on the frog. The blade has a makers mark but it is very hard to make out. Based on what I can see, and some research it believe it says CHAPLAIN’S IMPROVED PATENTED. The cutting blade is 2 1/8”, the length of the base is 14 3/4” and the width is 2 1/2”. The body has rust but I could not find any cracks of damage. Will ship in a medium flat rate priority mail box.
