Original, first release, French poster for the legendary 1950 film 'All About Eve' (titled simple "Eve" in France), written and directed by Joseph Mankiewicz and starring Bette Davis, Anne Baxter, George Sanders, Celeste Holm and Marilyn Monroe. Winner of multiple Oscars (including Best Picture), it was released in the USA at the end of 1950. This poster dates from the first French release of the film in the spring of 1951. This is a pretty scarce scarce poster and features a design that is completely different from the U.S. posters.
Poster measures 23.5 x 31.5 inches and condition is very good: originally issued folded and theater-used, there are pinholes, about 1 inch of separation (with tiny paper loss) at top of the vertical fold and some edge wear. There is a sticker, a stamp and some writing on reverse - most of which have little-to-no effect on the front, with the exception of a word in red marker that is visible on the front, at the bottom of Bette's chin.
