This foam PVC sheet is so nice! Having ordered it on-line, I thought it may want to wave or flap as it was carried, or maybe curl as it stood upright. But that was not the case. It was very strong and sturdy. My son used it for a presentation board for a school project. It was a great material to use and with the type of surface layer, I think we may be able to peel off the tape and reuse it. Its definitely nice quality for anyone that wants a professional looking display. I imagine that there could be many more uses because that since it's not as flexible as you would think considering the word foam. I think it just has a foam core to thicken it beyond a thick piece of paper width plastic/PVC. Good product.

This is a very durable panel for many different kinds of projects. Marking cuts with a pencil, then cutting with a utility knife is all quite easy to do with this board. I also drilled it for mounting with screws. It is a lightweight, easy to use project board. Without a doubt, I will be buying more of this in the future as projects arise. For now, I had a need to reflect down the existing utility lighting in a workshop so I cut this board in two and screwed the pieces to the overheads. Before doing so, I held up the boards and compared the lighting with and without the reflected light and clearly observed a significant difference.

I was looking to give this material a shot because I may have various craft and home project uses for such a thing. It's a very interesting material because although it's foam and can be cut with a simple utility or X-acto knife, it's quite rigid and has the look and feel of solid plastic. It's what I would describe as a high-density foam so it's completely different from Foam-core which is a lightweight foam with paper on both sides. Foam-core is not very durable and is basically a throw away product. This foam PVC sheet is solid all the way through and you could make all sorts of more permanent objects out of it. But again, it can be cut fairly easily with just a knife. It can also be heated and bent, glued with PVC glue, etc. There are many videos online showing how to use it. Really cool stuff!

White Project Sheet. This is a clean white PVC foam project board. It has a plastic film covering that keeps it clean until you are ready to use it. It is 3 mm thick, and 18 inches by 24 inches in size. The board feels very sturdy. It is a bright white color. It is quite opaque, and does not let much light pass through. If you hold a bright light (like iPhone light) touching it, you can see the light spot through the material, but if you move the light away, it quickly becomes unnoticeable.

I picked this PVC foam material to use for a replacement plumbing access cover panel. The old plumbing access panel was made from an older piece of plywood, nicked and exhibiting knotholes. I figured this would give me an opportunity to try using a different type of material and freshen up the appearance of an ugly, but necessary, utility panel. The machining of the material went as planned. My jigsaw didn't have any difficulty sawing the PVC and drilling and chamfering the screw holes was just as easy. I filed the sawed edges and rounded the corners with a mill file to clean the panel, prior to paint. The end result PVC panel was durable, attractive, easy to work with and worked well for this project.

This sheet is great for craft type projects. In my case, I used it to make a mock-up for fitting a baffle into a tight area then transferred the pattern to metal that I hand cut and fit into position. If your children have school projects that need rigid material I would recommend this sheet. It comes in several colors and is easy to cut and work with.
